I'd write a whole new bio for Dave, but he tells his own story well enough himself.
There's some great articles about Dave out there that were printed in the Arizona Republic (by Larry Rogers)
and another in the Mesa Tribune's Get Out section by Chris Hansen Orf. Both are really cool. Check 'em out.
Here's a review of a show at the Tempe watering hole, the Yucca Tap Room, where Dave played with some local boys, Los Guys,
his brother Mark Insley, and Americana Sweetheart, Rosie Flores. New pictures of this show are below.
I've written a few reviews and articles over the last few years, since I first heard Trophy Husbands perform,
and you can read them here, here,
and here.
Mostly, though, I like to listen to Dave sing. Doesn't matter where, doesn't matter
when. Whether it's live, here in Phoenix or around the state, or on any of the discs
he's laid tracks on (former bands include Chaingang, The Nitpickers, and
Trophy Husbands, I like to listen to Dave sing. He keeps it real.
